Ahhhhh, that’s better! After procrastinating, and procrastinating, and then, for good measure, procrastinating a bit more, I have FINALLY updated the software for my self-hosted WordPress blog. And, I have also installed a new theme (look and feel), which is called Under the Influence. ;-) Ha! My disappearing sidebar problems are solved! And the blog has a nice new look.

I had put off the update because the last time that I upgraded WP, which was several versions ago, it was a fairly traumatic experience. But to my pleasant surprise this upgrade went smoothly, quickly and, best of all, automatically. So maybe I’ll actually stay up-to-date from now on.
I’ve also started feeding the blog into my Facebook page, so perhaps I’ll have a few more readers in addition to Faithful Ben (hey Ben! ;)).
